The food at The Portelet Inn has earned its following the right way. By being genuinely good, consistently so, and made for the kind of appetite that builds up after a cliff walk or a morning at the beach. The menu is broad without being unfocused: fresh Jersey seafood, hand-stretched stone-baked pizzas, proper pub classics, and cuts of meat sourced with care. Chef Tony brings his own touch to the kitchen with dishes that have built a loyal following of their own. His Portuguese-style Picadinho and the Beef and Chicken Espetadas are among the most talked about plates on the menu. Cooked with real character and well worth seeking out. Whether you are in for a quick weekday lunch or a long family dinner, the kitchen delivers.

There are not many pub gardens in Jersey that genuinely stop you in your tracks. The Portelet Inn's is one of them. Sitting above the cliffs of Portelet Bay with open skies all around, it is the kind of outdoor space that makes a sunny afternoon feel like exactly that. Families spread out naturally here. Children find their way to the outdoor play area with swings and slides, while adults settle into a table with a cold drink and let the afternoon take care of itself. The full food and drink menu comes out with you, so great meals, cold pints, and long lunches are always part of the deal. Large free car park on site. Dogs welcome. Open seven days a week.
